Enyimba chairman Anyansi Agwu celebrated their N100m Globacom sponsorship package with these words:

"Let me start by first giving thanks to God Almighty for making today, a day come through. What is about to happen now is what many soccer loving Nigerians have been yearning for in Nigerian football. I lack the words to appreciate the role Globacom is playing in the development of football in Nigeria. In just about one year of Globacom’s existence, Globacom has proved that football development, especially at the grassroots level is your priority. You have today changed the face of Nigerian football, through your sponsorship of the Globacom Premier League. This is a revolution that will turn around Nigeria football.

Let me also congratulate you on the recent feat achieved by the Super Eagles in Tunisia, of which Globacom played a major role. Your interest in Enyimba no doubt will propel the club to greater heights. Let me assure you here now that Enyimba will do everything to make Globacom a proud sponsor and partner.

Let me also use this opportunity to inform you that Enyimba is rolling out the drums on Monday, February 23, 2004 in celebration of our achievement last year, our letter is already on its way.

These achievements include:

1 The African Champions League Cup

2 The Globacom Premier League. Now with us for three years. (How gladdened we are that we are the first club to win the new Globacom Premier League).

3 We also hope to break yet another jinx by winning the African Champion of Champions Cup. This is a Cup no Champion’s league winner has ever won. Once again, Enyimba is ready to break the jinx. Activities lined up for the victory ceremony include, the launching of a book on Enyimba on the road to victory, the official presentation of our new logo, carnival round the Enyimba City Aba and finally the official presentation of promised cars to Enyimba players and officials. Sir, you cannot afford to miss this victory dance.

Your Excellency, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu (MON) has once again demonstrated his resolve to take Enyimba to greater heights. Your aim of making Enyimba a self sponsored Club has indeed started. By this feat, Enyimba is one step towards being floated at the Nigerian Stock Exchange. Your leadership qualities and commitment is today a reference point in Nigerian history. With the victory ceremony lined up for this weekend, Your Excellency has proved doubting Thomas wrong through your fulfillment of the promise you made to the players and officials for winning the CAF Cup. With the cars physically packed at the stadium Aba, all is now set for the drums to start beating. We shall dance it well, as you beat.
